Where To Stay On A Visit To The Southern West Virginia Mountains
The Three Rivers Region is rural- small towns, big West Virginia mountains, and lots of adventure. But whatever your tastes are for accommodations, you’ll find it here.
Here’s what you can find if you’re looking for places to stay around the New River Gorge, the Bluestone River, or the Greenbrier River…
- Bed and Breakfasts in the mountains appeal to a certain kind of traveler -you know who you are- and for good reason: personal service, historical places, and friendly folks are what you get.
- Cabin Rentals are a specialty in this part of southern West Virginia, and anyone can tell you that being in a cabin sets the tone of an entire trip.
- The lodges at Pipestem Resort State Park (there are two) are hard to compare with anything else in the state. One on the rim of the Bluestone River Gorge, and the other, accessible only by tram, sits in the gorge itself.
- Motels can be an inexpensive way to go when you travel, and the ones around our area throw in a little extra southern West Virginia hospitality.
- If you’re a camper, you can’t do better than the Three Rivers Region. The mountains and valleys of this part of the Appalachian Mountains are second to none when it comes to terrific campsites.
